OneDC: A Unified Digital City Hall

The DC government runs on a massive $21.2 billion annual budget, yet residents are forced to juggle over 100 disconnected websites and a 311 app that is completely broken. This lack of coordination wastes millions in tax dollars and leaves residents feeling ignored. Whether you are applying for housing assistance, scheduling a DMV test, or tracking a snowplow, you shouldn't have to face weeks of bureaucratic silence while requests are quietly closed without a real fix. One login. Every service. One DC.

The Plan

  • Build the OneDC Portal, establishing a single, streamlined app and website where residents can access every single city service and benefit application with one secure account.
  • Launch a live, ward-by-ward Accountability Dashboard that displays real-time data on agency performance and service delivery times to expose and correct geographic inequities.
  • Kill the "Closed Ticket" loophole by updating the 311 framework so that service requests cannot be marked complete or closed until the resident who filed it verifies the work is done.
  • Digitize 90% of municipal services within the first term, eliminating long lines and paper-shuffling delays.
  • Open fully staffed Digital Access Hubs at every public library to ensure that senior citizens and families without broadband internet are never left behind by the digital transition.
